Simpson's Disinfecting Helmet and Equipment Dryer has a quick 20-minute Ozone feature. The built-in Sanitizing Ozone feature cleans and disinfects for a healthier environment. Safe heat temperatures are designed specifically for the interiors of rated helmets. Not only does this dryer accommodate helmets but the unique design also dries shoes and gloves. This sleek unit works great for family sports or hunting gear.

A NOTE ON OZONE:

Ozone is used widely for sterilizing; our dryer generates ozone by the corona discharge method. 

Ozone is a pale blue gas with a distinctively pungent smell, detectable by many people at concentrations of as little as 0.01 ppm in air. Ozone is formed naturally from diatomic oxygen by electric discharge or exposure to ultraviolet radiation. 

Ozone is a powerful oxidant and has many industrial and consumer applications related to oxidation; it is used to deodorize air, purify water, disinfect kitchen tools and treat industrial wastes.

Although ozone is widely used in industry and commerce the ozone layer, a portion of the stratosphere, is beneficial: it prevents damaging ultraviolet light from reaching the Earth's surface. This same oxidizing property, however, causes ozone to damage mucous and respiratory tissues, so for safety and comfort purposes, we always recommend using the dryer and sterilizer in a space with adequate ventilation, and stay away from it while it is disinfecting objects with ozone.
